The clock thing does not work. I was on my IPad and I don't pay for WIFI when not in my house so the wifi wasn't on when the purple shop thing happened to me. Supposedly the purple thing will go away according to beeline. Maybe the wifi works on phones but it doesn't work on IPad. Don't do it, your taking a huge chance that your shop turns purple.

@Nzl - it might be that it just doesn't work on an iPad then, it definitely works on my iPhone as long as the wifi is turned off, my shop has never turned purple, always has customers and I don't get the monster running away threat either

Hey guys! I have successfully been lifted from the penalty I got for changed my time! People can visit my shop now and the Uncle doesn't pop up anymore. I think my penalty lasted about 5 days. Guess I can't change my time to trick my friend anymore though.

#Megadimples Ok what you have to do is to get outside your shop by touchin the map icon which i on the low left corner and then move around until you find the " invite friends" you open it an login ur fb account, if any of ur friends play this game too their shops will appear soon close to yours
