I'm no expert in this, but I sometimes use Alertra (free) to check if a website can be pinged from various locations in the world (Europe, Asia, United States etc.). I had a wrong DNS Zone file a while ago for a domain, wrong NS settings, and the DNS could not be resolved randomly. Hope this helps, keep in mind, I'm no expert!
