Trade in my laptop for a new one?

I have an old laptop with an intel core processor in it, and would like to have a faster one. I don't know which one to choose, a dual core or AMD processor. I don't need the fastest processor available, so would it be wise to trade in my notebook for a second hand one?

If you would like to trade in your old notebook for a new one you could try selling on eBay. I've sold mine a few weeks ago. I had a minimum price listed for the laptop, and the buyer agreed :) But that's online, local stores often don't trade in old computers.
