Same here, I just bought a WD20EARS 2.0TB hard drive and it is not recognized by Windows 7(64 bit im using).
I see it listed in device manager but I cannot access it. Also, I switched in BIOS from IDE to AHCI and that did not help either. I am at a loss but I did find one person who posted they had to return their drive but never posted if the new one worked.
Keep me posted on your solution please as I will if I figure it out.
